A cloud IDE for developers - eXo

If you are a developer who doesn't always sit in your office or home, but always thinks of programming, you have an option now. eXo has developed a web-based IDE that can give support for Java, PHP and Ruby for a start. Oh, that's quite a start. It is one of it's kinds. Working on the cloud is quite interesting.

Well, when you think about cloud, you think about security. Your files in the local computer have a risk of getting fried in case of hard disk failure or lost, due to a computer crash. But, having your files on the cloud where someone else is maintaining the data and the software. Sounds gooood...

I do not really get it why someone would want to do any programming "on the server". Though it has it's reasons, I simply cannot bear the latency. Hell I even do not use an editor locally. A basic text editor or the vim editor are the true tools for any programmer.
